Split

Let soak up the special atmosphere of the city of Split by walking through the streets of Diocletian's Palace, the historic core of the city. Browse these ancient narrow streets is through centuries of history and art: palaces, churches and chapels, museums ... In the center the Peristyle palace is overlooking the city, St. Dujam cathedral next door is in the precincts of the mausoleum of Emperor Diocletian, squares and four gateways of the city are newsworthy. Split is also majestic hill Marijan  at the extremity of the city which  offers a magnificent panoramic view, this is a great place to walk, the green lung of the city.
At the foot of the hill lies the old popular quarter Varos with steep streets lined with stone houses, sheltering here and there some chapels.
