Aquatika, the freshwater aquarium opened in Karlovac at the end of october 2016
Croatia is one of the European countries with the greatest richness of flora and fauna of fresh water.
The city of Karlovac is at the heart of the subject, itself crossed by the 4 rivers of the region: the Kupa, the Mreznica, the Dobra and the Korana which joins the lakes of Plitvice. The Karlovac aquarium project was supported by the European Union and Aquatika opened on 23/10/2016.
This aquarium and museum of rivers presents the flora and fauna of rivers and lakes - with more than 100 species of fish including 40 endemic species - geological history, traditional culture, history of the region.
You will find within the complex: a congress hall, an educational centre, a scientific research center, a gift shop and a bar.
