World's best olive pickers in Postira / Island Brac 11-14 October 2018
This friendly meeting aims to promote the olive and to exchange the experiences of members of different countries.
The teams are formed by 4 people - 2 men and 2 women - and the equipment is provided, identical for all. Competitor countries this year: Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Hungary, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States and Croatia.
Time allowed: 45 minutes. Unsurprisingly, Croatia finished on the top of the podium with 67 kgs of picked olives, largely ahead of Montenegro with 56.6 kgs and Slovenia with 51.6 kgs.
More than the competition, it is 4 days of conviviality, sharing and discovery of the island.
