Commissioning of the Peljesac bridge on 26/07/2022

The region of Dubrovnik is separated from the rest of Croatia by a Bosnian coastal strip of 10 kms (around Neum), obligatory passage by road.
This bridge will avoid the border of Bosnia passing through the peninsula of Peljesac.

This steel and reinforced concrete cable-stayed bridge has 12 pylons, it constitutes a technological feat of construction and is the longest in Croatia.
It was built by a Chinese group and 2/3 financed by the European Union.
