It is connected to the mainland by frequent maritime links: ferry from Split to Supetar (north) in 50 minutes and from Makarska to Sumartin (east) in 1 hour,catamarans from Split to Mlina (west) and to Bol (south) and from Bol to Jelsa on the north side of the island of Hvar.
