Several parts of Croatia, especially central Croatia, are crossed by rivers that are part of the purest waters in the world and are popular fishing grounds for both amateur and experienced anglers.
  Between green valleys and mountain ranges, large limestone rivers and streams at medium speed with clear water and fresh all year profile home a good stock of trout and other fish species. In the region Slavonia:

  • Area Kopacki Rit Slavonia, the Danube and its tributary the Drava contain the greatest diversity of freshwater fish in Central Europe: catfish, pike, perch, sturgeon, carp and other varieties of fish plain. This area attracts professional anglers who enjoy the spring floods to make significant and unforgettable fishing.

    In region Gorski Kotar:

  • Korana which originates in the Plitvice Lakes is a fairly shallow river full of fish, especially pike for sport fishing. The Licka Jesenica on the sets of Mala Kapela, is only inhabited by wild trout.. Gacka: a reputation as one of Europe's best rivers for salmon, is easily accessible from the surrounding fields. In this river in quiet, with clean, potable water, trout grow 2-3 times faster than elsewhere; in the upper part, we practice only fly fishing and attracts anglers from all over the world.


  In the Mediterranean part of the country:

  • Zrmanja (and its tributary Krupa) is a river canyons with waterfalls in a nearly uninhabited region; its rapids are suitable for wild trout and eels and require good physical condition to fish in the spring, perfect season.
